Terms of Service

1. Agreement

Meditation Timer is operated by Harmony Mental Health, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By using meditationtimer.io, the installable web app, or related services (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility and optional accounts

The Service is not directed to children under 13. If you are not the age of majority where you live, you may use it only with a parent or guardian’s permission.

Accounts are optional. If you create one through Clerk or Google Sign-In, you must provide accurate information and protect access to it. Google Sign-In provides only the basic profile information described in our Privacy Policy; we do not request Gmail, Drive, Calendar, contacts, or files. You can delete your account through Manage account → Security → Delete account.

3. Using the Service

The Service provides meditation timing, optional sounds and bells, local preferences, and optional account-based syncing, history, and statistics. We grant you a limited, personal, revocable right to use it for its intended purpose.

Do not use the Service unlawfully; attempt unauthorized access; introduce malware or automated abuse; disrupt its operation; scrape it; violate another person’s rights; or copy, sell, reverse engineer, or redistribute it except where law expressly permits.

4. Wellness disclaimer

Meditation Timer is a general wellness and timing tool—not a medical, mental-health, or emergency service. It does not provide advice, diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, or crisis support. Do not use it as a substitute for a qualified professional. If you are experiencing an emergency or may harm yourself or someone else, contact local emergency services immediately.

5. Ownership and third parties

The Service’s software, design, logo, and original content belong to us or our licensors. Quotations, audio, and other third-party materials remain their owners’ property.

We rely on providers such as Clerk, Google, Supabase, and Vercel. Their services may have separate terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

6. Availability and termination

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features and do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free availability. Account and sync features may not work offline. You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. We may restrict access for material violations of these Terms or to protect the Service and others.

7. Warranties and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or availability.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of US $100 or the amount you paid us during the previous 12 months. Nothing here limits rights or liabilities that cannot legally be limited.

8. General terms and contact

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement about the Service. If one provision is unenforceable, the rest remain effective. Applicable law governs these Terms, and disputes must be brought in a court with lawful jurisdiction unless consumer law gives you another right.

We may update these Terms and will revise the date above. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice where reasonably required. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
